By examing photographs taken during the course of investigations on parting walls, we discovered ceilings in certain buildings were not constructed in accordance with construction documents.
Please explain the details of the defects in ceilings.
According to the Building Standard Law, floors of three-story apartments require one-hour semi-fire-resistant structures, with double layers using materials specified in construction certification documents. However, we confirmed single-layered ceilings as well as double-layered ceilings with non-specified materials.
There were inconsistent and misleading expressions in construction certification documents, which we believe lead to misunderstandings at construction sites. These misunderstandings resulted in construction defects.
We are considering adding a layer from inside the room, but we will consult with apartment owners and designated administrative agencies and decide the method and content of repairs.
