Leopalace21 Corporation (Headquarters Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Bunya Miyao; "the Company") announced that it will start providing the apartment rooms to IRIS inc. (Headquarters Osaka City, Osaka; Representative Director: Hiroyuki Arasawa; “IRIS”) which runs the group home business for people with disabilities.

■Background for providing apartment rooms for group home use

The demand for group homes has been increasing recently due to the government's efforts to support the independence of people with disabilities, and the number of users has been rising year by year to approximately 140,000 as of February 2021. On the other hand, the lack of supply of group homes has become a social issue, and the Company worked to resolve this issue by providing apartments under its management. The Company remains committed to contributing to the community through offering rental housing with stable operation as part of society’s infrastructure.

■Outline of the Company’s role

The Company provides apartment rooms under its management to IRIS so that it runs group homes for employed people with disabilities. In this way the Company joins IRIS in its efforts to support people with disabilities to lead an independent life.
