Formed Business Alliance with Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. to Resolve Issues Related to Foreign Human Resources

Leopalace21 Corporation (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Bunya Miyao; "the Company") announced that it has entered into a business alliance on February 1, 2024 with Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka; President: Nobuyuki Okajima; hereinafter "Nankai Electric Railway") in order to solve issues related to foreign human resources.

▪Background for business alliance

As labor shortages have become a serious social problem in Japan in recent years, the importance of foreign human resources has been increasing year by year. Many companies, however, face issues in securing and accepting foreign human resources.
Under such circumstances, the Company has been supporting many foreign nationals through housing by taking advantage of the features of its approximately 560,000 rental units nationwide, which are furnished with furniture and electrical appliances and equipped with an Internet connectivity as well as the call center support in multiple languages.
The Company has entered into a business alliance with Nankai Electric Railway, which promotes an idea of coexistence with foreign nationals, in order to further contribute to realizing sustainable community renovation by supporting companies' acceptance of foreign nationals and their housing requirements.

▪Outline of the Business Alliance

Nankai Electric Railway, through Japal, or the overseas IT human resources introduction service, will support the acceptance of foreign human resources and introduce them to the companies, while the Company will provide managed properties as company housing, thereby creating an environment for the companies to accept foreign human resources and supporting a stable life for them.
The Company and Nankai Electric Railway will solve their customers' management issues and develop the local economy by mutually introducing respective services to companies that are facing issues in accepting foreign human resources.
