FAST Channel to be Launched Soon as New Service to Tenants

Leopalace21 Corporation (headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Bunya Miyao; “the Company”) announced that it will launch FAST Channel, a free video distribution service, which is the first of its kind in Japan, to the tenants of its apartments under management on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

▪About FAST Channel
FAST is an abbreviation for Free Ad-supported Streaming Television, a new viewing style centered on Smart TV, or Connected TV. It is a broadcasting-type video distribution service that is growing rapidly, at a faster rate than on-demand viewing mainly in North America and Asia.
The FAST Channel, a service within FAST, allows users to simply select a channel and programs which will stream one after another, just like conventional television broadcasting. The service enables users to easily enjoy programs of various categories at free of charge, without having to search for programs from the vast amount of video content.
At the launch of FAST Channel, a total of 10 companies, including UUUM Co., Ltd. and Nagoya Broadcasting Network Co., Ltd., will be invited as providers for a total of 10 channels in selected categories, such as entertainment, cooking, travel, health, and children.
▪Outlook
The number of channels will be increased sequentially and a wider variety of categories will be available. The Company will continue to provide better housing by introducing various services for the tenants.
