July 30, 2026
Leopalace21
Leopalace21 Corporation (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Bunya Miyao; the “Company”) has entered into a service agreement regarding referral and brokerage services for the Company’s managed apartments with Relo Estate, Limited (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku Tokyo; Representative Director: Kenichiro Nakatani; “Relo Estate”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Relo Group, Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, CEO: Kenichi Nakamura; “Relo Group”).
Through this business alliance, the Company will combine its extensive nationwide portfolio of managed apartments with Relo Group’s strong corporate customer base and expertise to promote the wider adoption of rental housing equipped with furniture and appliances under corporate leased housing programs and enhance convenience for both corporate customers and their employee tenants.
▪Background of the Business Alliance
In recent years, attracting and retaining talent has become a key management priority for many companies. To achieve this, employers are increasingly required to secure housing and provide relocation support that meets the diverse needs of individual employees, helping them transition smoothly into their new lives.
In particular, for employees living alone, such as young professionals and workers on temporary assignments away from their families, the costs and effort associated with purchasing, transporting, and setting up furniture and appliances can be a significant burden. As a result, demand for apartments equipped with furniture and appliances has been growing steadily, as it helps reduce both upfront expenses and the preparation required for moving into a new home.
This business alliance was made possible by the shared commitment of both companies to addressing these social challenges and realizing a society in which everyone can choose a home without unnecessary burdens.
▪Overview of the Alliance
Leveraging its strength in providing apartments equipped with furniture and appliances on a nationwide scale, the Company has long met a wide range of corporate leased housing needs. As of March 31, 2026, approximately 67% of its tenants were under corporate lease agreements, demonstrating the Company's significant role in supporting employee housing across Japan.
By combining the Company’s extensive portfolio of rental housing with Relo Estate’s strong corporate customer base, the two companies will establish a framework for providing housing solutions tailored to a broader range of corporate customers. Through this partnership, the companies aim to support businesses in addressing the increasingly important challenge of talent acquisition and retention amid a worsening labor shortage, by helping to create better living environments for employees.
▪Outlook
Moving forward, the Company will continue to build on its strength in apartments equipped with furniture and appliances to help create a society where anyone can begin a new chapter of life with confidence and peace of mind. By supporting the comfort and well-being of working people, the Company will contribute to the creation of a more sustainable society.
